Red Room Review

Approach rounded off their successful 2005 Float Tour with a set in The Red Room in East London. Returning with an extra exclusive date, they rolled out their biggest show yet.

Leanne Brisland came onto vocals for many of the bands numbers and Christine Berry made her double bass debut with the band.
They opened with Talkin 'bout a revolution with Tim Jones on Bass and Jon Chambers on acoustic, layered lyrics and moody lighting set up the mesmeric evening.

Chirpy versions of Bown Eyed Girl and There She Goes followed.

Then a real stunner followed with Lucky Man and Champagne Supernova blended into one - it was a real moment of musical development for the band with Tim Jones swelling his volume peddle to create a scaled down Brit Pop wall of sound effect.

Time of your life showed off Jon Chambers' outstanding skills on the guitar as did the Dire Straits classic So Far Away - which saw Tim change guitar yet again and roll off some bright solo work.

The band rolled on with more guitar changes than a Pink Floyd concert into a double crunching ending of Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Boom, Like That - which had a new power ending.

Encores included a impressive version of Jason Mraz's Curbiside Prophet and 2 instrumental numbers by the band.

Something is clearly developing here.
